We strive to align ourselves with Italian artisans, small production companies and designers whose products embody the spirit of what it means to be “Made in Italy”; in an era where fashion is so profound and diverse, and yet needed so much.
They can be home crafted knitwear and custom tailoring shops, to independent fashion houses, weave workers, customizers that have chosen to create and market their own collections, designers, goldsmiths and jewellers and accompanying accessory manufacturers- the list is endless, as there is endless talent in Italy, and to be apart of ITALLY, it is not based on what is produced in particular, rather we pride ourselves on knowing how it is produced.
Primarily we are interested in creativity; those that find the magical space of the choice of materials they use (some more innovative and cutting-edge creativity, or the use of some ancient, rediscovered traditions), the magic of unique workmanship and the mixing of different elements; in the technologies used in the fabrication process and the way the artisans are inspired to create based on what they have around them. There is an inspiring ingenuity that is at the heart of all “Made in Italy” fashion, new and old, that dictates what rules to follow, only to have them broken and create something new once again.
But creativity has to involve the hands and heart, otherwise all there is, is just a good idea. Craftmanship and know-how practical creation of unique items is the second most important characteristic we look for in our brands and in the partners we work with. There is nothing that makes us fall in love more, than to witness the hands sewing a fabric, shaping a metal, or touching a piece of fine leather to evaluate its texture and where it came from.
