New Art Milano
Milan – ITALY – JEWELLER
New Art Milano was founded in 2001 by the goldsmith Alfredo Origoni, who after forty years of experience at the most renowned goldsmithing studios in Milan decided to dedicate himself to his projects, inaugurating a space right in the heart of the city of Milan.
In 2013 Davide Origoni, son of Alfredo, took over
The meeting of these two worlds, the first connected to the Italian goldsmith tradition and the second to a taste of the new generations, gave life to jewelry collections of the highest quality and innovation. The working synergy between Davide and Alfredo originates from the passion for the beauty of goldsmith’s traditions, from the care of detail, and from the desire to create ‘unique stories’ for each jewel, and thus, for each customer.

In the studio of New Art Milano drafts and drawings of Alfredo’s past sometimes emerge and show a glimpse of the goldsmith’s art from last century: thanks to the creativity of Davide and the combined passion fromboth him and his father for jewelry perfectly made, those forms created long ago are now renewed with a fresh design.

New Art Milano is an authentic and genuine placeof excellence goldsmithing. Most of the collections created by their studio focus on enhancing the love of natural stones. Tanzanite, opal, sea water, ruby root, tourmaline are carefully selected from their suppliers in Italy.

It is from the impressions provoked by the always unique aesthetics of natural stones that Alfredo and Davide begin the design of the final jewel, andevery detail.

The style of each jewel is unique because each stone is different: for some collections, the circular structure of a ring can be made through a thin polished metal ‘wire’, glossy and minimal; for others, it can be the exact opposite. For example, the artisans’ choice can fall on a massive circular structure, characterized by reliefs and perforations that make it similar to natural marine elements.

This authentic aesthetic, always different, highlights perfectly the value and talents of the Italian goldsmith techniques. Every jewel that becomes part of a collection from New Art Milano, is born from the combination of skillful ‘research’ and ‘randomness’, following the genuine timing of craft creativity: something that can only be done in the studio, when Afredo and Davide forge metals and experiment with new techniques, free to overcome the customs of goldsmithing and understand the potential of certain unexpected forms.

“Sometimes what we get in the studio is better than what we imagined. In our collections, we insert not only our feelings but also those of the customer”.

The stones, of different shapes and cuts, are the main protagonists in the precious metal structure, often accompanied by the delicate presence of precious bright stones.
The love of detail and the satisfaction in producing ‘beautiful things’ means that each jewel corresponds to a unique piece. Each alternative can be created in its entirety from listening to the wishes and ideas of each particular customer.
